Well, we had planned ourselves a baby-moon before the big fall, but we decided to go ahead and go. We went to San Antonio last Tuesday and stayed through yesterday morning. We love San Antonio, and have been there together several times before. It is kind of our place to get away and relax.
This year we stayed at the Crockett Hotel. I loved the lobby area of this hotel. It was so neat!
We took a carriage ride, which we had never done down there before. We went for the whole enchilada-a tour down to the King William district. We left a little before sunset and finished about an hour later. It was one of the most fun things we have ever done down there. I got some great pictures and a few blurry pictures.
One last shot of the hotel as we pulled up in the horse drawn carriage. I highly recommend seeing the King William district from a carriage.
We walked the river walk, visited La Villtia, walked the River Center Mall, went out to the Shops at La Cantera, went to Quarry Market, and ate some great food.
One place that we had never been before, and a place I know we will revisit is the Japanese Tea Garden. It was absolutely beautiful-and free! They are doing some construction on the place so we will have to go back. It is located in the Brackenridge Park area along with the zoo.

Friday night we traveled out to Gruene Hall. Gary P. Nunn was playing.
We had a great view from the outside into the hall. It was so hot that we opted to sit outside. We had great fun and then went to the Pearl Brewery Farmers Market the next morning. We (the early birds that we are) were too early for the tour of the brewery, so we'll have to go back to do that-darn!
We had this divine dessert for breakfast at a cafe at the brewery, which is run by the Culinary Institute of America. Yum! It is a chocolate mousse. Can you see me taking a picture in it?
