On Sunday, we decided we would try to sight see a little, but we were able to go to two cheese shops. One did not make their own cheese they only aged it. The other one made their own cheese; however, the amount of flies in their work room on top of the cheese they had made did not make us hanker for cheese.
We went out to Glimmerglass State Park where there was a mansion built between 1817 and 1835. We took a tour of it. It was pretty neat. We wished they had let us see the entire house, but only showed us a selection of rooms. The view was amazing from the top balcony that you can see in the picture.
We then came across another cemetery that was so interesting. It was build on a sequence of hills. Each hill was higher than the last. There were about 6 levels and it was so steep. Then we went to Cooperstown, which is a tourist trap. But it had some really cool things like a museum recreation of a large farm in the 1800s (we only drove by) and the baseball hall of fame (once again, only drove by).
This picture shows a little bit of the curve of the cemetery. We then went to eat at a place that was built in 1806 called the Bull's Head. We ate in the Cellar Tavern. It was really good. I had mac & cheese with seafood in it. Best mac & cheese ever! This was only our second meal of the entire trip.
